Josh grew up in Chester, Virginia, about 20 minutes south of Richmond off I-95. Sports and competition made a big impact in his early years. After being All-State in two sports, he accepted a football scholarship to play Linebacker at Shippensburg University. He still holds the career solo tackles record from starting all 4 years. Josh’s first job in hospitality was as a server and barback at Bottoms Up Pizza in Richmond, Va. Prior to PourMyBeer, he worked in Business Development with Modis, a publically traded IT Staffing Firm. He was hired to develop the Baltimore Metro market for the company. Landing several blue-chip accounts took that market from non-existent to a top producer in a matter of 24 months. One day in 2009, he decided he wanted to take a 95% pay cut, quit his job where he played golf 3 days a week, and invest his entire life savings in building a self-pour company. Yadda, yadda, yadda, here we are today after 3 significant chapters in business and life. To get the full story go to TapTheBigIdea.com
David brings over 10+ years of operator experience, spanning tech, product, and hospitality. Born and raised in Chicago, he spent his childhood growing up in his family’s bakery, his early twenties managing a bar, a fine-dining restaurant, and starting a digital product + software development company. Through that business, he worked side by side with hundreds of entrepreneurs and executive teams to design and build hundreds of digital products. Growing that business to ~130 people in under five years, he then sold to GoHealth, a now public company. He’s been fortunate to share his experience with several other hospitality businesses as an investor and advisor, supporting them through growth and exit.
David is a builder at heart alongside his wife, Brittany, a fellow entrepreneur, creative powerhouse, and catering + event savant. Chicago is where they call home with their two kids, Duke and Henry. He spends most of his free time trying to drain their seemingly endless energy, taking lots of shots on goal and some to the face. He is an avid skeet shooter, a former motorcycle racer, a reluctant foot massager, and an enthusiastic fort builder.
Carl grew up in Pennsylvania, just south of Philadelphia, and graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Business Management. An avid automotive enthusiast, he has driven everything from a Lamborghini to a Russian Tank and even raced forklifts on the Daytona International Speedway. Once the internet became a thing, he started a web design and Digital Marketing Firm to help small businesses grow their online presence. That led to a long digital technology career with an interesting mix of corporate and entrepreneurial ventures. In late 2020, after 13 years of building a successful B2B SaaS business, he decided to sell his company to a private equity firm to make room for his next challenge.
Ed hails from the great state of Connecticut, growing up not too far from the birthplace of PT Barnum, which could explain his affinity for sales, marketing, and being an all-around Showman. Despite being born in North Carolina and growing up in “Southern Connecticut” (yes, that’s a thing), Ed headed north for college to the frigid but beautiful University of Vermont, where he enjoyed creating volatile organic compounds as he earned his degree in Chemistry. Graduating unscathed, he decided to play it safe, stay away from the chem lab and take a job at an Internet start-up in Boston. This started his long career growing sales at innovative tech companies, from heading up sales & marketing at boot-strapped start-ups to those with $200mm in series A funding. Today he resides in Santa Monica, CA, where he enjoys getting out to the ocean and the mountains and exploring Hollywood filming locations.
Christian resided in New York most of his life but recently moved to the Black Hills with his wife and two young daughters. Christian has had a love for technology ever since receiving his Commodore 64 at a young age and started his career doing tech support for a major computer brand. He grew to love the operational side of things, and eventually launched and managed close to a dozen support desks over two decades. When not supporting customers, his other interests include hiking, history, darts, and homebrewing where he loves torturing yeast. His favorite styles to brew and drink are Kolsch, Saison, and New England IPAs.
Representing the Greek contingent on our team, William is the product of an entrepreneurial family that is the proud owners of the Metro Bowl for over 61 years and counting. Another fun fact about William is that he and his wife Suzy spent a good portion of the ’90s booked for wedding entertainment and DJ services. After he retired from the turntable, he spent the next 3 decades in retail and manufacturing sales. He co-developed an inkjet refilling machine which he marketed and sold to the largest drugstore chain in the United States with sales exceeding $180 million. His knowledge and expertise of the self-pour space can be tied to his invention of the SmartBar, the world’s first totally automated self-contained bar.
Laurel was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, famously known as the home of the Master’s Golf Tournament. She attended Georgia College & State University, where she earned her degree in Public Health. After coming home to start her career path, she discovered her affinity for sales and moved to Charleston, South Carolina, to work as a sales consultant on a fortune 100 telecommunication contract. She later discovered the e-commerce space and has continued to pursue products she finds innovative and transformative for businesses and individuals. When she’s not working, Laurel enjoys traveling, cooking up new recipes, and exploring the great outdoors.
Will grew up in Northern California, spending the days hiking and mountain biking around the Bay Area. He was born in Bergen, Norway, and has always loved going back to visit family. A passion for sales and marketing grew early on, alongside a love for filmmaking and writing. He began selling newspaper subscriptions, as well as producing and directing music videos and commercials – while studying film, communications, and marketing. Will spent many years exploring these passions in various forms, everything from leading the sales/marketing team for a tech start-up, raising funds for non-profit organizations, starting his own production company and working in travel sales. Today he lives in Los Angeles with his dog Chloe, and couldn’t be more excited to join the PMB team.

Haley grew up in Newark, DE, and attended the University of Delaware. After spending her whole life in one state, she decided it was time to get out and moved to Philadelphia, PA. Everett Martin grew up in Hampton Roads, Virginia. He lived there for most of his life after being adopted into a military family at 8 years old. Everett went on to discover his joy in computers when a hurricane came through Maryland and washed up an old Micron desktop computer that he repaired by mere chance. In his twenties, he landed a contract with a 3 letter agency to do network analyst work. Everett inevitably left that job for a security research firm that he started and has made it his full-time endeavor. He eventually met his wife, Trista, in Tennessee while working at a job site. Trista and Everett married in July of 2019 and have a 16-year-old son named Dakota from Trista’s previous marriage. The Martin’s currently reside in Florida, where they enjoy cooking, gardening, and kayaking on their occasional visit to Coco Beach. My name is Will. I’m your certified fitness nerd. My career started after I graduated from Heritage College with my AS in Exercise Science. I earned 5 Fitness Certifications and went on to become a personal trainer for over 6 years. I got into tech at around age 28. I later graduated with my BS in Information Technology in 2020. I’m currently working on my Master’s in Cyber Security with graduation in sight in 2022. Some of my hobbies include being at the gym for at least 2 hours a day, 6 days a week. I also enjoy hiking and exploring Vegas when I have free time, and I’m not completely exhausted from the gym. I have over 70 plants in my house and find a lot of joy in taking care of them. I’m originally from Mount Vernon, Ohio, and my parents own a 70-acre fruit and vegetable farm that I grew up taking care of.
I’m a 28 year old techie/creative that’s new to the city of Houston. I love to write, listen to music, and talk about pop culture and technology. I have a dog by the name of Archie, he’s a chihuahua and the love of my life! In my down time, you’ll catch me taking a long walk on the beach (I know) or admiring art.
Matthew grew up in the Blue Mountain region of Palmerton, Pennsylvania. He attended Shippensburg University where he played football as a linebacker. Upon graduation, he met his lovely wife Sarah, and together, they have 3 children Colin, Emma, and Avery. When Matt isn’t shuttling his kids to soccer or basketball, he enjoys the outdoors, beaching it in the summer, and hitting the mountains in the winter. As a huge beer enthusiast, he is passionate about hazy IPAs and enjoys them while rewatching any Marvel movie with his family for the thousandth time.
Allan was born in Louisiana and grew up in Alabama. He is the oldest of 12 kids… 9 of them are girls. He moved to South Korea with his family for a few years and then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he currently resides. He has been married for 8 years to his wife–she teaches music to students K-5 and plays the cello. And he has a super cute (and talkative) Husky/Pitbull mix named Penny. 🐕
Allan pursued a music degree in college and then became a music director for a few years. He eventually ended up in the service industry again–completing that journey that spanned for 10 years off-and-on. He worked for two different PourMyBeer locations in Colorado Springs. He is currently working on a certification in IT.
Allan likes to say he’s an “aggressively mediocre videogamer”, a craft beer nerd, and hilariously funny…or at least funny-looking. He hates long walks on the beach–cause sand. And he is always working on his BodyByIPA by enjoying all of the beers…just not all at once. 🍻
I’m Nick; I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I have lived all over the country, including both northern and Southern California, Maryland, Austin, Chicago, and wherever is next! I love sports, craft beer, the beach, and checking out new self-pour concepts. My working background is in the hospitality and service industry, where I fell in love with the self-pour concept and the PourMyBeer brand.
